Are you, or do you know someone who is looking to qualify as an IBCLC but facing financial difficulties in achieving the requirements necessary to apply to sit the exam?
If so, you may be interested in the ‘Emerging Leaders in Lactation’ Scholarship.
This scholarship provides the opportunity for full or partial financial assistance (up to $5,000 USD) with the costs associated with preparing to meet the requirements to sit for the IBLCE exam.
In order to be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:
• Have completed at least one of the IBLCE exam eligibility requirements (health science courses OR lactation education, OR practice hours) at the time of application;
• Have demonstrated leadership potential;
• Belong to a group historically under-represented in the profession and its leadership; and
• May otherwise be unable to pursue the IBCLC credential.
For details see: http://milcc.org/emerging2.html

If you do apply for this scholarship, LCGB would be very interested to hear of your experience to share with other aspiring IBCLCs.
